WEEK 1

 29 AUGUST 2018

We arrived safely on 29 August 2018 to Incheon Airport. Our buddy met up with us and bought us breakfast!

It was a 2hour drive from the airport to ChunCheon Bus Terminal where we took a cab to the school.

This is how our rooms look like. I like how spacious it is and there are many storage places.

30 AUGUST 2018

We went to Dakgalbi Street which is located at Myeongdong Street. It is only a 10 min bus ride away from our school, how convenient. It is a smaller version of the real Myeongdong in Seoul, which we will visit real soon.

We had lunch at a ramen place.

We got some bubble tea after lunch to prepare us for the long walk in Myeongdong Street.

We took pictures with some cute statues.

Nearby Myeongdong street, there is an underground shopping mall, which looks like a subway station but it isn't.

31 AUGUST 2018

Our orientation starts at 10:30am, and we decided to get some breakfast beforehand.

We are in the lecture hall with all the international students.

They took us around campus for a tour, which only took less than 20 minutes.

After lunch, we had some bingsu and it was delicious. We spent 22,000 won or 2 bingsu, which I think is worth it!

Other NYP students and their buddy joined us too!
Our buddies kindly treated us Dakgalbi for dinner and it was tasty.

1 SEPTEMBER 2018

Dongmyo Flea Market

We decided to go the Seoul and visit the markets, Dongmyo market, Gwangjang market, and Dongdaemun night market. They mostly sell secondhand and vintage products. Unfortunately, Dongdaemun Night Market was closed that day.

As we are walking toward Dongdaemun, we saw the Cheonggyecheon Stream. It was beautiful as the water reflects the sunlight.

As we head back home, there was a Dakgalbi festival near the Chuncheon train station and we decided to take a look. There was mostly food and an amusement park but we were too tired to check that out. They sold korean food such as fish cake, rice cakes and of course dakgalbi. It is a Dakgalbi festival after all.

It was a tiring yet a fruitful week before school starts.
